Script Development
(Script Doctor)
Deep development of your screenplay
The Script Development Program is designed for writers or producers who want to work seriously on improving a screenplay through a structured development process.
Instead of a single consultation, this program allows us to work together over several sessions to address the deeper structural and dramatic aspects of your story.
Clients enrolling in this program book a minimum of three sessions, allowing us to analyze the script, identify key narrative challenges, and implement a rewriting strategy step by step.
Throughout the process we may work on:
Story architecture and structure
Character arcs and dramatic progression
Scene construction and dramatic tension
Thematic coherence
Rewriting strategy and next drafts
Depending on the needs of the project, sessions can be scheduled in a way that supports your writing process, allowing time between meetings for revisions and further development.
For this program I will read up to 25 pages per session. If deeper analysis of the complete script is required, a Full Script Reading can be added.
This program is designed to help writers move beyond isolated feedback and instead develop their screenplay through a guided and thoughtful process.
Ideal for
Writers preparing a second or third draft
Filmmakers developing a project for production
Producers working with a screenplay in development
Writers seeking professional guidance throughout the rewriting process
“My goal is for you to leave the session with

FAQ - Frequently Asked Questions
1. What languages do you work in?
Most of my work is done in Spanish, but I can also conduct sessions in English if needed.
2. How long are the sessions?
All sessions last up to 90 minutes and take place online via Zoom or Google Meets.
This format allows enough time to explore your project, discuss storytelling challenges, and identify practical steps for the next stage of development.
3. Do you read my script before the session?
For Script Consultation and Script Development Program sessions, I will read up to 25 pages of your screenplay before our meeting.
If you would like feedback on your entire script, you can add a Full Script Reading prior to the session.
4. What is a Full Script Reading?
A Full Script Reading is an optional add-on if you want feedback on your complete screenplay before the consultation.
This allows me to review the entire script and prepare more comprehensive notes for our session.
5. What should I prepare before our session?
It depends on the service you book.
You may bring:
a short description of your story idea
a treatment or outline
a partial or complete screenplay
specific questions about your project
The clearer your questions are, the more productive the session will be. But the most important thing to bring, is always possitive energy and your best attitude.
6. Will you rewrite my script?
The consultation and development sessions focus on analysis, feedback and guidance rather than rewriting.
If you are looking for a professional writer to develop a screenplay, you may inquire about the Scriptwriting service.
7. How far in advance should I book a session?
I offer a limited number of sessions per week, so availability may vary.
Booking in advance is recommended, especially if you are working with a deadline or preparing a project for a lab, festival or production.
8. Can I book multiple sessions?
Yes. Some services are designed to work as a series of sessions, especially when developing a screenplay over time.
If you want ongoing guidance while writing or rewriting a script, the Script Development Program may be the best option.
9. What happens after I book a session?
Once your session is confirmed, you will receive instructions on how to send your materials (if needed) and a link for our meeting.
Materials should typically be sent a few days before the session so I have time to review them.
10. Do you offer refunds or cancellations?
Sessions can be rescheduled with reasonable notice.
If you need to cancel or change your appointment, please contact me as soon as possible.
